WHAT DO THESE BARBIE ABBREVIATIONS MEAN?

Ok, I have seen these so many times and I am not sure what they are...this country loves to abbreviate and they forget that so many immigrants or other nationalities have no idea what these abbreviations mean...

 

NRFB, OOAK, BFC I know this is Barbie Fan Club..., BFMC, MODEL MUSE

 

Also please, BarbieCollector.com have a page where you have photos of the types of doll bodies and what they are called. Please put a photo how model muse body looks like and how the other types are called and look like. Thank you.

FACE MOLD? What the heck is that mean? Barbie has mold on her face??? that's crazy...

The term face mold refers to the different faces used by Mattel. There are a lot of different faces in the Barbie line. Each face has its own name. For example, Mackie, Glimmer, Lara, Teresa, Midge, Superstar Barbie, Goddess. I don't know of a complete list but I am sure that someone has one.

 

To get a better idea of face molds, you can look at the Barbie Basics Collections. Each doll is designated by his or her face mold.
