TEDDYSLIVINGBARBIE Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Hello, Mods -including BZ. I have an idea for how Mattel could make a Living Barbie repro that maybe wouldn't cost Mattel (or the designers! ) a doll's arm and leg: Use the 1996 gymnast for the doll's body (modifying the wrists/ankles so that they have the articulation of Max Steele's wrists/ankles), use the redhead TNT Smasheroo repro for the face mold, and use what was put on Cynthia Rowley for the doll's hair. After thinking this over, I've decided that I'm not too picky about having a repro LB that looks exactly like the original. If the repro LB were made as I suggested, she wouldn't have the broken wire/greening problem that the Vintage LB is vunerable to. Besides, Vintage LB is pretty limited in what styles of clothing she can wear (especially panties!), and remaking her with an easier to clothe body may solve THAT problem. While I'm on the subject of clothing, maybe Mattel could also come up with some repro pack of flat shoes for this girl to wear. Come to think of it, my Living Skipper could use some too, in soft pink. Just my thoughts on this. Thanks for hearing me out. Best Regards, Julie ANC, URBFC, UBGFC Member, and Charter Shazette.
