TAPSY1 Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 My Siren has a very loose head. I just bought her today. I think she is beautiful but...does any one else have such a loose headed doll? She looks like a wobble headed toy! Does anyone have any suggestions to cure this problem? I would appreciate any comments to help. Nodak's Girl
Guest cginetsol Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I have the same problem with a red moon and a Ingenue. I was wondering the same thing today actually
Guest pixieshimmers Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 seems we're all wondering about wobbly heads! I posted this earlier: http://bulletinboard.barbiecollector.com/eve/forums/a/t...681021123#8681021123 My Movie Mixer might be from the heavy ponytail.
Guest mschulz1572397502 Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I blamed it on thr weight of the ponytail.. I know the ponytail is an homage to early Barbie, but I like my doll's hair down and loose (not that I will alter it)
Guest saundraprice Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I just got Movie Mixer and she has the same probelm. None of my other Silkstones heads are loose like that. I wonder if it may be the weight of the ponytail making her head wobble?
Guest tapsy Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I have a 45th Aniversary that does the same thing and I wondered if was the weight of the pony tail braid, but the head is not as loose as the Siren. My Movie Mixer is just fine. So it must be some ring or something that isn't tight enough. I hope we all can get some anwsers to this problem. I just don't want her head to pop off and can't get it back on. I did call Customer Service and they gave me a number to call during the week. If I get any answers I will post. Thank you for your comments.
Guest MalibuLJ Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I'm interested in their response- my Siren's head seems a bit loose too, I figured it's the weight of the hair, like 45th.
Guest tapsy Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I did call Customer Care, I think that what it is called (I called Customer Service and they gave the number to me). Anyway to make a long story short, I think they want me to send back the doll as defective and will reimburse the amount I spent on the doll. They couldn't tell me how to repair the problem. They needed the product number (just telling them the Siren didn't seen to make much difference) so I am suppose to call back with this info. I don't know if I am going to go to all this trouble, as it will cost me to send the doll to them, and then will have to wait for money to be returned or credited and then buy the doll all over again. And also run the risk of her selling out before all this is done. I do like her very much. I have been collecting since 1994 and I have never had a complaint about a quality issue. Sometimes I wish they would do something different to my liking, but never a REAL complaint. I really don't know what to do. I just think if so many are having a problem, Mattel should offer something more than this. It makes me wonder about future purchases. These dolls are not cheap. It is hard earned money spent. I love Barbie and don't want this to become a major problem.
