Guest matthewsmom Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 This is the same for me, buying from Canada only saves me the EXTRA $10.00 they charge for shipping. So, it comes out to the regular amount an american would pay.

Start with $16.95 for shipping, (which is out of this world to begin with) and add the duty at the border, and the doll may become more expensive to buy here than buying it in Canada.
Guest PinkyTSX Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 I will only buy from Mattel to get the online exclusives, so I only picked up Lone Star great (less the $20 discount) and I just picked up Tano (less $10 discount). In the end I'm saving lots compared to whay I would have to pay on eBay.
Guest tmsia1572400439 Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 I was going to buy Princess of Holland with my discount but then I thought, why pay shipping on a doll I can get almost anywhere? I think I will use my $10 to get Empress Josephine. $10 isn't much of a savings on such a big price tag, but I can't buy Empress Josephine at just any old store either.

Guest matthewsmom Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Yeah, I will probably wait for another exclusive (if there is one). I already got Tano, so I can't use it for that one.
