Adult Barbie Mannequin

Hi All,

Hope you can shed some light on this... From time to time I see adult sized mannequins on Ebay and a friend of mine even has one, my question is who produced them and did they have a specific purpose and promotion they were associated with?? I have seen both vintage style and modern style Barbies.... A little history lesson would be great!@
