Guest barbieray Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 hi philip, no the mermaid was one of the latest high end dolls but not the most expensive. the most expensive doll ever was the Pink Splendor doll with 18k gold trimmed lace etc. you can see her in the showcase. she was sold fpr USD 900.-- but on ebay she will be sold about USD 500.-- - 700.-- I think. she's really stunning with her really big ballgown. I have her and she's a real beauty. (but bought her at a lower price point ) the higher priced dolls are all high end dolls but not every year comes one out. I guess Queen Elizabeth will be the high end doll for 2004.
