Guest risingabov Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 You (moderators) have always said that you are here only to moderate the forum, and deal with website issues. You have said that you are not here in the function of Mattel's customer service dept. Here's my suggestion. As a paying club member I think it is a fair request to have an actual Mattel customer service person to answer our questions, address our complaints, and listen to our feedback. We have asked for many changes (quality, diversity, etc), and our requests have gone unanswered. I suggest that the mods create a new sub-forum for the customer service dept, and have them respond once a week, or even once a month (heck, anything's better than nothing). I think I speak for a lot of collectors when I say that many of us are frustrated with Mattel and the Barbie Collector line. We have voiced our concerns, opinions, and requests, but it seems that nothing has been done. In fact, the 2005 line, and the club are so much less than we had expected -- especially since many of us voiced our opinions about what we wanted in 2005 (line & club). I don't think it's too much to ask for an actual customer service person to address our issues, and make some changes. You have approx 7000 club members just itching to give the company free feedback. In fact, we're paying you $20 to do it by joining the club! You have us as free market research, and you're not even taking advantage of it. To me, that's bad business. If the Customer Service sub-forum is too difficult to produce, then maybe you can organize a once-a-month live chat w/ a Customer Service manager (or a Marketing Dept. manager). Please respond.
Guest risingabov Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Mods, please respond. This is an important issue on which many collectors are waiting for an answer.
Guest BEWITCHED661572382649 Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I don't think this will get an answer.
Guest clarus971572392940 Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I hope this won't be taken the wrong way but this is almost getting humorous the number of questions that are in this forum that have gone unanswered. It's like the forum is named "Ask Barbie Collector About Barbie" . . . Sure, "ask" all you want. That doesn't mean that you're actually going to get an answer. Thus ends my tongue in cheek commentary. cmh
Guest BCLouE1572382628 Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Hi everyone... See I had to wait for a little "tongue in cheek" before replying... just appeals to my sense of humor this week I guess. All kidding aside, thanks for the great suggestion. We're looking into possibilities and options right now.
Guest risingabov Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 First off, thank you, bewitched66 & clarus97 for coaxing BC LouE to post a reply. BC LouE, Thank you for the reply. I guess this answer, so far, is better than no answer. As you probably know, many of us take our doll collecting very seriously (spending hundreds of our hard earned dollars on your products). We eagerly await your return to this thread with an answer to the "possibilities and options."
Guest clarus971572392940 Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 No thanks necessary. Actually, I really appreciate BC LouE's sense of humor. Even with my comment, I've realized that there are extenuating circumstances to what information is available and/or can be released. Rather than continually writing "don't know" or "can't tell you" a bizillion times, I just assume the moderators will answer when they can (though I know from experience that the waiting is still hard). But if I've helped, glad to be of service to my fellow Barbie enthusiasts. Take care. cmh
