MOCHAPAPERDOLL Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Do all platinum hair dolls eventually become light blondes because all of mine have, even my non-Barbie dolls? I am a deboxer and most of my dolls are on open shelves in a dedicated doll room, but the blinds are rarely open and I can't understand why all my platinum hair dolls are nolonger white haired. What have I done wrong and is there a way to return them to their former hair color? Stockton, Ca
MISSTAE Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Hey Mocha, I don't know how to restore the hair but I have to ask if there is a smoker in your home? That would be the only thing, besides maybe dust that I think would make the hair go from Platinum to Blonde. Some of my Redheads hair have gone a little dull but, it doesn't bother me. Maybe one of our experts will chime in. #Savage
MOCHAPAPERDOLL Posted October 21, 2016 Author Posted October 21, 2016 No smokers MissTae, however, I do use scented candles while interacting in my doll room. It never crossed my mind that burning candles could effect the hair color of my dolls. I've got Glam Gown on it's way, and I have a spot ready for her between 10th Anniversary silkie and Lisset....guess she will have to go in the China Cabinet instead of on a silkie shelf. ? Thanks for the heads up MissTae. In Response to Re: Platinum (White) hair: Hey Mocha, I don't know how to restore the hair but I have to ask if there is a smoker in your home? Guest JULI_ALEKSA Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Yes, scented candles can react with synthetics. Don't forget that scented candles release a host of chemicals, one of which is formaldahyde..
