Designer names on boxes or dolls themselves???

I know I've asked this before but I never got a straight answer really so I was wondering, are the names of the designers of the dolls going to be on the boxes or the dolls themselves at some point in time?

 

I think that it would be a good idea to know who designed which doll in my opinion.

Piggybacking off of Medusa's #1 fan --

It would be a wonderful idea to include in a separate category, the key CE designers and a list of dolls they created (in chronological / alphabetical order). And/Or to include under the dolls featured in the Showcase, the names of the designers.

I would also like to see this added somewhere. On the box would be great but I buy a lot of deboxed dolls. I would like to see somewhere in the showcase.

I know that BillG posts the current designers and their doll creations in the Convention forum (for doll signings). There are currently just four designers doing collectible series dolls - BillG, Robert, Sharon and Linda. Any special guest designers (Adler, Mackie, etc) work with one of Mattel's four designers.

Sheree, you bring up a good point. But there are previous designers, who no longer work at Mattel or in the CE division. It would be nice to know which dolls were designed by each designer (past & present) if possible. Perhaps a Designer Corner would be helpful, which would showcase the various designers from the Collector Edition line, listing out their many creations.

 

As for the actual boxes, it doesn't impact me as I'm a deboxer. I'd rather see correct information posted online where it is easily accessible and can be referenced as needed.

This is a good idea. I think some in the showcase are by Designers, like Mackie, but certainly not all of them.
