Hello, I am new to the new fan club and I was just wondering if anyone knows how to use the credits that you get for joining the fan club? Thanks in advance for your help.

The old bulletin boards were very helpful and fun so I look forward to participating in these boards now....

Hi, Hi!

You might try going to the "shop" area and add something to your cart that is equal to or above $20. Make sure that you are logged in to your account to ensure that you're credit shows up. Hope this helps. Smile

I have a question too. I understand how to use our club reward but what are the points that we get when we purchase dolls? How do we use them?

From the Barbie Fan Club FAQ's:

Will there be a points reward program in 2006?

Mattel is evaluating the possibility of offering a Rewards Program for the 2006 BFC, but a decision has not been made at this time. We will update the website, FAQs, and BFC Membership Agreement if additional information becomes available, but as of this time, there is no Rewards Program for the 2006 BFC.

Hi!! Welcome here! It is authomatic, you only have to make a purchase and the system does the rest. I have just used my reward! On what? On Highland Fling! Yipee!

I think a big part of the problem re: the points program for 2005 was that Mattel introduced it too late in the calendar year & BFC members ended up getting shortchanged, just my opinion.

Second, the points value for the items were set way too high. Case in point, 5000 points for a Robert Best signed BFMC Stolen Magic Barbie, I could bring my own Stolen Magic doll to this year's convention in LA to get it signed (I got the doll at a great pre-order price), enough said.

If Mattel wants to continue the points deal that they were so late in implementing, they need to set more realistic standards so collectors can take full advantage of it (in other words, the most bang for the Barbie buck). If they can do that it's a win win situation for all, just my little two cents worth here.

Take Care,

Carol

These are very good points, Carol. IMO the biggest inconvenient is that the reward points only last one membership. They should last as long as until they were used. This could be o prize for ous loyalty. There's another site about videogames that has a reward system just like this but as I suggest they don't expire so you can use them anytime.

About the $20 periodical reward, I think is fine as it is.
