2024 Collector Edition Nissan Silvia (CSP311) From Dollar General

By Allen Voivod

Every year, we partner with a. variety of Hot Wheels retailers to create a unique set of cars – the Collector Editions. They’re made with the same level of quality and attention to detail as our Red Line Club cars, and you can get them by spending $20 on Hot Wheels cars and multi-packs. Then, you just send us proofs of purchase in the mail (full instructions below) and voila! A new Collector Edition shows up at your doorstep a few weeks later.

For 2024, we’re kicking off the series with a Nissan Silvia (CSP311). It’s only the third time we’ve ever made a version of this casting, recreating the 1960s 1:1 editions, which were mostly handmade. It was also the very first model used as a highway patrol car in Japan. So, make sure you obey the speed limit when you head over to a participating Dollar General store to get your Hot Wheels for this mail-in promotion.

Need another reason to take a ride to Dollar General? We also created four exclusive recolors you can only get at their stores, and they’ll count toward the $20 for the promo, too.

NISSAN SILVIA (CSP311) SPECS:

  • Body Color: Spectraflame red
  • Graphics: Authentic manufacturer logos, Hot Wheels logo, #1
  • Body Type: ZAMAC
  • Wheels: Real Riders classic 4-spoke wheels
  • Base: Full-metal, zinc plated chassis
  • Window Color: Clear
  • Interior Color: Black
  • Scale 1:64

Could contain: Machine, Spoke, Alloy Wheel, Car, Car Wheel, Tire, Transportation, Vehicle, Wheel, Coupe

Items and dates subject to change. Production items may vary from the photos shown. Mattel reserves the right to modify the color, decorations, scale, body, and wheel type. Product subject to availability.

If I don’t have a Dollar General in my area… does it count if I buy them from Dollar Tree?

Nope. Has to be from Dollar General specifically. I had to drive 40 minutes to get to the nearest Dollar General, so I feel your pain. I seriously wish Mattel would stop using Dollar General and just use Dollar Tree or even Family Dollar. There's only three Dollar General locations within an hour's drive of my house and they hardly ever have Hot Wheels in stock😒

Why doesn’t Mattel partner-up with these mail in promotional hot wheels with stores that are found throughout the U.S…..Here locally we have Dollar trees,Family dollar-but alas No Dollar generals….What about Walmart, target, wegmans….or some of the supermarket chains…partner up with them…not fair that I have to purchase these hot wheel exclusives on the secondary market because there’s no store locally.

Question 1: im using a debit card to pay for the 7 dollar shipping and handling and am wondering when do you guys charge my card when i submit my order or when my package.

Question 2: I purchased 17 cars to a total of 21 dollars and on the receipt it does not show  the upc code that matches with the hot wheel i bought however it does say that i bought 17 hot wheels is that still ok?

I agree also I have a bunch of dollar generals where I live but I don't have no Kroger's or any stores related to Kroger where I live. So I wish Mattel would partner up when they do the Kroger mail-in that they would do it with all grocery stores across the country and the ones in my area are Aldi's, price chopper, price rite, tops, and Wegmans. I would like to see these local grocery stores get the Kroger exclusive cars in and do the mail-in.👍

Hello All,

Can someone help me out. So you have to buy $20 worth of cars from DG to qualify. Those cars have to be of specific kind or any hot-wheels? How would one know which ones qualify?

They say it has to be from this series- C4982, L2593, and/or HGY16. Is this printed on the card?

If I am doing the maths correct, you have to buy about 18 cars to get to $20?

Thanks

The assortment number is on the back of the card, right above the UPC.

5 Dollar Generals in my area. None of them have new product, and none of them knew when or if they would be getting anything in. Makes me really miss K Days.

Questions I Have.

1.) what happens if I bought $20 worth of hot wheels with other receipts but the barcodes from the card backs don’t match the receipt but it’s from 2020 through 2024 will they still except it for the mail in?

2.) will they except my card backs if they are damaged, but you could still see the barcode and proof of purchase number.?

3.) I bought some hot wheels from Dollar General but I don’t want to open them but I have other card backs I would be willing to use from other stores to pair up with my receipt.  (They are from 2020 through 2024.) Will they accept my mail in?

(Below are some photos of what I am talking about.)

Thank you for any help the community gives!

Could contain: Text, Document, Receipt, Book, Publication

Could contain: Machine, Spoke, Alloy Wheel, Car, Car Wheel, Tire, Transportation, Vehicle, Wheel, Toy

Could contain: Document, Receipt, Text

You have to include the card backs as stated in the terms and conditions

By doubles, one to collect,  one to display, give away, sell, do whatever with the second car. Besides, they're mainlines, $1 cars, not gonna go up that much in value if it isn't a STH.

@Nyromi;  The card backs do not have to match the receipt as long as they're 2020 and up and the asst. numbers are within the rules. And the damaged card is okay.

Does the receipt has to have just the hot wheels, or is the hot wheels with another product ok?
