Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge is an epic car makeover competition. During the first season, 18 superfans faced off in head-to-head matches, turning ordinary vehicles into extraordinary showstoppers. The finalists entered the “Chrome Zone” in the season finale on August 8, where one victor took home an additional $50,000 and won the chance to have their winning build turned into a 1:64 Hot Wheels die-cast car.
If you need a spoiler alert, this is it – but you’ll want to keep reading so you don’t miss out on this opportunity. The winning car is a massively modified Nissan Skyline, crafted by Arushi Garg! This sports car has been lifted sky-high, turning a car you’ve seen dominate in drift races and grand touring competitions into a conqueror of sand dunes and snowbanks.
Our 1:64 edition of the Skyline is already in development. It’ll feature a die-cast body and chassis, and Real Riders wheels. The authentic deco will include the encouraging affirmations Garg crafted for the car, too, reminding you to be kind, courageous, and unstoppable.
You can pre-order as many of them as you want between now and September 4, 2023 at 11:59 PM PT. Just remember – because it’s a made-to-order car, it may take as long as a year before it arrives in your mailbox. Since it’s the first-ever winner of the Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge, it’s a collectible that you can’t pass up.

Orders for the made-to-order item will be taken from 8/8 at 8 PM PT until 9/4 at 11:59 PM PT (the “sale window”), with no purchase limits. Mattel may close the sale window early at its sole discretion. A charge will be placed on your payment account and will be processed on the date you place your order. You may cancel your order during the sale window by calling Customer Service. After the sale window ends, all orders are final.
The made-to-order item’s expected ship date will be displayed on the item’s product page in our online shop, and may be up to a year from your order date. You will be notified before your order ships, and provided with instructions if you need to update your shipping address. If the expected shipping date changes, and the revised date is more than 30 days after the original expected shipment date, you’ll be notified of the new expected shipping date and have the opportunity to request a refund if desired.
