Ferruccio Lamborghini is a legend in the automotive world. He passed away in 1993, but the company that bears his name races onward. To commemorate his legacy, Lamborghini unveiled the Centenario in 2016, the year that would have been his 100th birthday. We’ve styled our own remarkable replica for Matchbox Collectors, arriving October 19, 2023 at 9 AM PT.
Lamborghini only made 40 of these exotics – 20 coupés and 20 roadsters. The coupé was revealed at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2016, and the roadster at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance a few months later. Our version is based on the coupé, which was more than just a tribute to the automaker’s founder at the time. It also demonstrated Lamborghini’s cutting-edge technology and laid a foundation for advanced performance developments.
In honor of this celebratory car, our Matchbox Collectors edition arrives in stunning flame red paint. We’ve added premium Eurospoke wheels and opening scissor doors, and placed it inside a clear case with a backdrop that will get you revved up and ready to hit the open road.
The real-world coupé can go 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds. Ours may not go that fast, but if you blink, you might miss your opportunity to add it to your hypercar collection.
