BarBBro
Lorena Velasquez, Mexican actress with multiple movie and television credits has recently died. She was known in Mexico as the Queen of the Fantastic Theatre. She is more world wide known for her science fiction and horror movies/adventure movies. One of her most iconic roles was playing the Queen of the vampire woman in the movie, Santo contra las Mujeres Vampiro made in 1962. It was released in the USA as Samson vs the Vampire Woman. She did many of these types of films. The years of her movie popularity were the 1950s and 1960s. I would like to see Mattel do a Barbie type doll of her similar to the Maria Felix of last year 6
Koomaster
Gorgeous. She reminds me a bit of a mix between Elizabeth Taylor & Stockard Channing.

If Mattel wants to make a Barbie of her, they'll have to get permission from her estate. 1

BarBBro
Please Mattel, please have your legal team start the proceedings on researching licensing and any estate rights. The appeal of this doll would be even greater than the Maria Felix because Lorena Velasquez did a lot of horror and science fiction films (along with many romantic dramas and Mexican soap operas): SO there will be a some cross-over into the 'action figure' collectors market that is dominated by MALES. So her selling appeal - depending perhaps on promotion and display box and how the doll is presented - preferably in character as the Queen vampire woman from the movie - and this MAY BE significant. I believe her appeal will be broad encompassing population demographics all around
BarBBro
Adding here that if and when Mattel were to decide to proceed with the above Lorena Velasquez vampire queen from the movie noted, requesting that Mattel please do a Lorena Velasquez LIKENESS mold and not another mold painted in the likeness. They did a likeness mold on the Maria Felix doll, which captured the look of the actress

I hope they do more original sculpts as nice as that one.
